Topanga Canyon spreads over a mountainous area with close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and is known for its’ rich landscapes within the Santa Monica Mountains.
The design for a small artist’s studio in this rural area of Los Angeles embraces the qualities of it’s natural setting nestled under an oak grove and overlooking a seasonal stream. Deliberate material choices, high level of detail and overall simplicity were key considerations in the design and building of the studio.
